Primo's Pizza #16 was brought to Allen Park in 1980 by the Soavie family who began the concept in a store on 9 mile.  The Soavies; brothers Dominic and Mike still operate 2 locations, the 9 mile location and 7 mile store.  Besides it's founders, Primo's #16 in Allen Park, has had only 3 owners and all the owners have worked for each other at the restaurant.  Primo's #16 first owner, Luigi Iaquinta who bought the restaurant from the Soavie brothers, came to the pizza scene with a secret spice recipe that he sold to area pizzerias eventualy decided to purchase Primo's #16 in 1981.  Luigi ran the restaurant with the help of his family and under the Management of his son Sam and daughters Antoinette, Rosemarie and Kathy.  Luigi hired Andrew Hill in 1982 and Tim Estheimer in 1983 as Pizza makers.  While Tim eventualy moved to the west coast, Andrew stayed on and purchased the restaurant in 1991 and moved the restaurant across the street to it's current location in 1993.

 

 

Andy and his family (Jim & Dana), familiar fixtures in Allen Park ran the restaurant for nearly 25 years.  Tim Estheimer returned to Michigan in 2006 and with his family, Parents Don & Charlotte, brothers Donald & Bill with their wives Sherry and Kristen and Sister Beth with husband Dave Glenn purchased Primo's Pizza #16 in 2007.  Primo's is and always has been a family restaurant.  Andy will stay on with Primo's as a Catering Consultant to ensure we provide out clients with the best service possible.

The restaurant is Managed by Big Tim, Don (Retired Veteran), Mom & Dad (Retired GM) and with the help of Don's family Sherry, Timmy (Who has been working at Primo's the last 3 years), Annie and Nick.  Also by Nicole Van Bynen (Tim's fiance). 

We will continue to bring you the quality, consistency and service you have come to expect from our little slice of italy, Primo's Pizza #16.

Primo's has great history in Allen Park and the downriver community and has always been known for service, quality and great food.
